The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
